Erich S Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Wessel, I also have the 42 & 43 Jultellers as well. Best, Erich
Wessel Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Erich,1943 is the only plate I have. I would like to pick up another to make a pair, so if you ever want to sell the '42 drop me an em!
Erich S Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Wessel, Craig Gottlieb has one on his site at a pretty reasonable price.
Wessel Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Erich. The plate I want is the one with flowers and runic symbols round the edge as per the Passmore book p. 91.
Erich S Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Wessel, Is your plate a Pohl Julteller? My two Jultellers are like Mr. West's which were for presention by Himmler and in white. The colored versions were thought to have been possibly produced by another concern other than Allach. These colored plates were sold to the public.
Wessel Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Yes, mine is an Oswald Pohl plate. I picked it up quite cheap a few years ago.I'm not really into plates, and hence only want another Pohl to go with this one in the other cabinet!...The other Allach plates are expensive and for the money I'd rather get another animal.
MasterBo Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) Sorry, I have shown this picture before. Edited February 20, 2009 by MasterBo
MasterBo Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) ...another Pohl plate for the cabinet!I really like the horsman, really! nice !!! Just beautiful !!! Tha plate is a gem too, but i resonally prefer the white ones.Do any of you comrades have Julfest plates 1937 and 1940? Edited February 20, 2009 by MasterBo
MasterBo Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Hello, everyone, here is a new addition to my Julfest.
Wessel Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I don't think I've seen that one before....very nice piece!!
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Here's some of my Allach, alongside other things.................
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 The little candle-holder has hearts and hagall-runes painted on it. Same motifs as on the Julleuchter and Julteller.
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 The equestian figure on the table is the Bamberger Reiter................Rosenthal, not Allach. In the background is a black Allach leuchter.
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Better picture of the black one...................
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 The Julleuchter sits below an SS 'Tree of Life' tapestry........................
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 The Bamberger Reiter is really quite elegant..................
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Bamberger Reiter in porcelain again..............
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 And lastly, the Bamberger Reiter in oak finish................above Wewelsburg Castle.
Robin Lumsden Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I don't know why Allach never produced their own figure of the Bamberger Reiter, given the figure's significance to the SS.Himmler always thought the figure represented Henry the Fowler (which it most probably didn't) and, as we all know from the headline here,.........................
MasterBo Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 (edited) Hello, Robin, would you please post more pictures of the candle holder? the one with the painted hearts. And if you ever want to sell The Bamberger Reiter, please let me know.Best regards. Edited April 30, 2009 by MasterBo
