Kev in Deva Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Hallo Perce, to get a decent honest opinion from the members here, you will have to post better pictures, single items, front and back, cropped close.Kevin in Deva.
perce Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Hi Kevin Cool -will put some better photos up later a better way of putting my question would have been what are they supposed to be Cheers Perce
Kev in Deva Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Hallo Perce As Third Reich Items have been heavily faked this is why we need to see good close up pictures.Top item is one of a pair of shoulder strapsThe Eagle with outstretched wings over a swastika is from a cap.The two black / Green lozenge shaped items are from the collars of a uniform denoting unit. The shield object on the bottom left is the KRIM Campaign Shield, given for service in the Crimea Campaign, these have been faked as well.Military medals are my main area of interest but I am sure some of our members will be able to i.d. all with better pictures.Kevin in Deva.
Wood Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) First is a Winterhilfwerk donation badge, one of a set, in the form of medievil axes. Edited April 10, 2008 by wood
Paul R Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 The second is an Italian badge of some sort.I think that the tabs are NSKK.

Paul R Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 The Italian badge is for facist youth. That is interesting... I thought that the tabs were black. I guess they arent NSKK...Regardless, that is one hell of a score for a Pound!!

perce Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Hi Wood Do you have any more gen on the fascist youthbadge- where was it worn? Was it sewn onto a sidecap? Cheers Perce
Wood Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hi Perce, Sidecap was one of my thoughts too, or perhaps one of a pair of collar badges, or worn pinned to a shirt. but I am no expert on Italian items.Regards,Pete
perce Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Hi pete Thanks very much-will have a look through the book to see if I can see it-has a makers name on the back have a look later and stick it on the thread Cheers Perce
Scowen Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Do you have any more gen on the fascist youthbadge- where was it worn? Was it sewn onto a sidecap?Pete is correct that it's a youth badge. In particular it's a cap badge for the groups Balilla (8-11 year olds), Balilla Moschettieri (11-13 yrs), Avanguardisti (13-15 yrs) & Avanguardisti Moschettieri (15-17). The Giovani Fascisti (18-21 yrs) had a different cap badge I believe. The badge was sewn to the Fez .CheersDonBalillaAvanguardisti
perce Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Hi Don Thanks very much-first Italian fascist badge I have in my collectionDoes this mean I have to start a new phase and start picking up Italian bits? Cheers Perce
Scowen Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hi Perce,Well it's a shame that it has to live all on it's own. If you get time, perhaps you'll post the cap badge in our "Fascism in Europe" forum, it could do with some Italian threads CheersDon
perce Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Hi Don Will have to keep my eyes open for some more bits then!!!Will move the pictures to the other thread later onThanks for your helpNow if anyone can tell me anything about the other bits i would be very happy Cheers Perce
