norwest78 Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 What do you guys think of these? Proper tabs?--Kevin
Paul R Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I love the Bau/Pioneer/RLM tabs. Can you make a closeup of the FD tabs, where the piping is attached? I just want to see the stitching technique used to attach the piping to the tabs.
norwest78 Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 The stitching of the piping is virtually invisible, as it is underneath the center of the piping. Here you can see a stitch just barely peeking out.--Kevin

norwest78 Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 That's a nice little tidbit, Hardy. Thank you!
Gary B Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Hi, Nice tabs. In addition to the mentioned use of the black waffenfarbe for Engineer and RLM it was also used for Luftwaffe officers assigned to the Luftschutz. The Hauptmann tabs for the black are a particularly hard rank to find. It was the last pair of tabs I needed to complete my series of black tabs and it took me almost 2 years to find a matched pair. Paul R Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I would have to hold the FD tabs in my hands to be sure. I am on the fence on these. However, the black tabs are most beautiful!!
