woodeye Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Here my last new acquisition is a fed winter cap. There was probably a lot in very different executions. So I would like to show sometimes mine, perhaps has one the same one.It is especially nice in her that it was carried by an officer, indeed, probably without eagles.
woodeye Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Has opened sometimes the flaps, you are in a very good state, only unfortunately, it loses many hair. Should one treat you? If so with what? Have, unfortunately, no experience with old fur.
woodeye Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 The stamp is a RbNr and has the size 61, unfortunately, the dimensions temple is to be read only weakly.
Paul R Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I would be scared to try and treat it. I would be afraid of damaging it. It is a wonderful piece. Thank you for sharing it!!Paul
woodeye Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 I am also very careful there, but I have mine think that sometime all hair frees themselves of the leather. Since in front the cap already has a bald place which use by him or by fur moths was generated. However, could find up to now no moths or moth leftovers, only unfortunately, the cap loses quite a lot of hair and if one at it moves whole heads of hair would also fall out. I believe I will lay first of all in the deep cooler to destroy possible moths. Nevertheless, I am very happy to have got, finally, such a cap
