Can you please zoom in on the remains of the cipher on the Right Shoulder(with the scanner)?

Also,

notice the lack of buttons on the shoulder boards! This is odd!

Here is my ciphered example. Compare with your photo. The cypher does not look like an HV(from the very little seen). Please make a 400% enlargement of that area and post!! :jumping:

It's either that or a Militarverwaltungsbeamte. I have discarded that option as the eagles head should be higher thah the wings

No buttons on his epaulets - I wonder how he kept them secure.

I think that he would have sewn the boards directly to the jacket.

here is one of my favorites of a Marineartillerie NCO.The two braided Chevrons and pip are for Oberstagsgefreiter i think
