fanatyk6 Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi,I've recently saw this parachute offered as a oryginal US item from WW II. Seller calims it's a ,,technical" parachute whatever it means. Is it true? For what purposes it was used?
Doc Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 I have ZERO knowledge of US WW2 parachutes, but that fabric pattern doesn't look like anything I have ever seen from the US of that era. Closest would be some of the Marine Raider uniforms, but it really doesn't look like them. Also, it looks too new. I would bet it is post-war.... Doc
Snoopy Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 I might be wrong, but I think "Technical parachute", could mean that it's intended for dropping some sort of equipment, or supplies. Does the seller say anything about the size of the parachute? All the bestSnoopy
nickstrenk Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I do not know why there are no photos of the Parachute badge,so I decided to add these of mine.It is interesting why the awards of the USA are not made in silver, but the badges are.
