Picked this one up of Weitze, Exceptionally well made,hollow type,the pin has a star on it ??? what relavence this has to maker no idea.

Hi Steve, looks like a nice badge !! I think that the star is a mark of a supplier of pins and ancillary parts not the maker of the badge. Possibly Austrian . Ferg1.

I have at sometime seen another pilot badges pin thus marked with a star,but sadly cant remember where !!

The star was used by Austrian makers to denote bronze gilt. Also on bayonets :o

WEll at least i know the "pin" was made in Austria ...any idea on the maker of the badge ???
