It should be clear. I try my best to put more lighting around the medals during I capture the pictures. Because these are not the selling photos, just for my collection record only. So my set up is a bit over the standard for selling photos......much more lighting, use white background, delay the time for capture a shot (I don't know the term in photographing) to make sure the camera have good enough time to capture all the details form the target.
