ccofv22 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 These were found on an airbase in a safe. I have a few of them, but as shown in the picture there are three different colors of these papers. I've shown the front and the back in the picture.
Verdun16 Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 These appear to be unused Iraqi Ministry of Defense ID cards for Army draftees. The triangle with the symbol is the mark of the IMOD,BryanThese were found on an airbase in a safe. I have a few of them, but as shown in the picture there are three different colors of these papers. ccofv22 Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 Is anyone on here able to translate this? I'm pretty sure the marking on the top left says 2003, and the red markings would be like an identification number or something like it.
Paul R Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Although I am not able to translate Arabic, I can tell you that those are some great documents and when the time is right, even researchable!
Ed_Haynes Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) Could we please know a little bit more about the origin of these documents, the circumstances under which they were "collected"? Edited October 13, 2008 by Ed_Haynes
ccofv22 Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 Could we please know a little bit more about the origin of these documents, the circumstances under which they were "collected"?They were found on an old destroyed Iraqi airbase in Al Kut. The US had taken over that base and were stationed there. These documents were found in a safe in a building on the base. I guess that all the Iraqi's paperwork and everything was scattered all over the place and there were a lot of these cards mixed up in the mess of documents. I have 6 purple, 4 pink, and 2 peach ones. I have no idea what the difference in color means but they are all marked generally the same.
