Richard Gordon Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 I wonder if you guys and gals can identify the maker of this one?It looks to have has a blued core (I can't see a trace of paint anywhere) with an interesting crown and high date.
Richard Gordon Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 The reverse is fairly plain marked only for silver content. The catch is quite thick, the pin is flat-bottom but curved on the exterior side. The hinge is interesting as it sits raised on a slim block.
Richard Gordon Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 Last pic.Anyone recognise this maker?Rich
VtwinVince Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Hmmm, certainly looks like one from the blued-core, pumpkin-crown maker.
Mike K Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Hmmm, certainly looks like one from the blued-core, pumpkin-crown maker. My thoughts too - the actual maker still being unknown.Interesting hardware variation.Rich, this one looks to be almost flat? All the other ones I have seen/own are slightly to moderately vaulted, so another interesting variation!RegardsMike
