It's a book "военно-санитарный снравочник 1939" Military Medical Handbook 1939

This book deals primarily with the health and sanitation of troops. Also Camp set up (Number of men per area. It has many charts, maps & Symbol charts.

I ?ll have a military merit medal awarded to a medical worker, who worked in the " Mobile Field Hospiotal No. 60" in Stalingrad 1942/43.

Is there anything about the structure or organisation (strengh) of a mobile field hospital in the book?

I couldn?t find anything about the structure or organisation of a field hospital in the web.

Hello Andreas,

I'm not sure yet. I'm slowly going through the book and I'm needing help with translation. I would say that it probably does as it has charts of setting up aid stations, etc. I'll let you know what I find.

The first two are models of where a hospital should be set up in relation to hypothetical battle lines, suggesting closeness to water and cover--that sort of thing.

The third shows the component sub-divisions of a medical battalion.
