Unless then come with groups, I have never bothered much with the bottomless pit of znacki badges, especially as there are no English-language reference materials (that I have ever seen).

However, as a firm believe in the research principle that we'll never understand these things unless we underatsnd how they came into being, I just couldn't pass up the chance to acquire a few original design drawings for various badges.

Are these from a manufacturer's files? This suggests a wonderful drawing-actual badge side by side. Has anybody GOT the actual badges to see whaat maker mark is on them?

Great topic. Yes, I would like to see what else you have and to read anything anyone has to say about these.

Somewhere around here I have 1-2 badge prototypes from the estate of the one-time quartermaster-general (equivalent, I suppose) of the Georgian SSR. No design drawings, though.
