Mike Dunn Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I have no idea what this medal is for or which country it is from. Any help would be greatly welcomed! Mike
Bob Hunter Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I would think that a nose like that would be easy to ID...or perhaps not. Has a definite Romanian or Bulgarian look to it.
Stogieman Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Hi Mike, looks like a Bulgarian Patriotic piece from WW1. Try posting it under "Central Powers" awards....
Mike Dwyer Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I have no idea who the gentleman on the piece is, but the coat of arms on the other side are the arms of the Kingdom of Serbia.
Guest Rick Research Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Correct-- Serbian which became Yugoslav.
Mike Dunn Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 Thanks so much! Could the powers top be move this tread to the "Central Powers" section?? Mike
Guest Rick Research Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Other side, actually-- so to "Rest of the World" it goes!
Ulsterman Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Serbian 'First World War Commemorative medal, established in 1920 awarded to all those who served in the war, including Ministers, MPs, volunteers, nurses, foreign military missions, Montenegrans and of course, all Serbian troops.
