Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Hi Paul , Here are the pictures you asked for ...I took a few single shots as well as the group pictures. Originally I only collected WW2 Firearms but , I ended up running into some deals I could not walk away from . You know how THAT works .
Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 The G43 with a ZF4 Scope is all matching and came with the orig manual and spare parts in the butt stock. I found it ( and the K98 with a ZF41 scope) in a Pawn shop in Denver back in 1978 ...$600.00 for both Rifles , those days are long gone huh?
Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 I picked this late war K43 up this year ...the vets son had it and a late war Kreigs model K98 that his Dad brought home . In 1945 , his dad's unit found a Train's Boxcar with crates of brand new weapons. He took this and the Kreigs model. This K43 has no side rail on it
Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 Here's the Kreigs model ..It's the first Mauser I've ever owned that still had the original varnish intact
Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 My 33/40 ..also all matching , a little worn but ..still there
Mike Posted November 18, 2005 Author Posted November 18, 2005 My odd ball Bucket of Stuff ...I re-did the room a little and can't figure out where to put it yet. Some good ..some junk.
Paul R Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Very nice Mike! Is that a K98 sniper in the first pic?Paul

Mike Posted November 19, 2005 Author Posted November 19, 2005 WOW... that and a G43 for 600?!?! I do not even know many thousands of dollars the pair would go for today!!!PaulAnd how ! I can't believe how fast these went up in value. They were together in a pawn shop ...someone had just sold them to the guy and he was not even sure what the G43 was ..I bought them really fast. That K98/ZF41 is all matching and in wonderful conditionThanks Paul ---Mike
byf Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Yes,it looks like you have strayed a bit away from WWII weapons. What a great collection. Thanks for posting.byf
Mike Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 (edited) Yes,it looks like you have strayed a bit away from WWII weapons. What a great collection. Thanks for posting.byfThanks BYF ...Four years ago I met a local old-timer who just won a round with Cancer. He had a nice Collection and but selling it all off. I ended up with a nice Trapdoor, a 1900 Krag , 2- 1903's, a P-17, an H&R Garand and an M1 Carbine , 2 Mausers, a Lend Lease Enfield and 1-Jap 99 carbine ..all for $2,900.00 ! For that money ...I decided to "broaden" my collection a little. Besides , when I setup Public displays ..the spread of US Inf weapons comes in handy. It's nice showing the "evolution" of the US Infantry Rifle ..the Vet's like it. The deals are still out there but , it's getting harder to find them. The Uzi,Sterling,Semi Thompson, Semi Mac 11 ,M1A etc are all my plinkers ...plinkers are a good thing Edited November 22, 2005 by Mike

Mike Posted April 22, 2006 Author Posted April 22, 2006 Is that a Thompson I see with the round magazine???!! Hi Darrell ...Yes , that's one of them . I have 2 semi Thompson's and (I think) 4 -"L" drums and one "C" Drum ...the only problem is , because of our work schedule ...I have not had time to visit a range for 3 years now I hope this summer I'll be able to.
Hun Helmet Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 Nice! I have a Winchester P17 with an eddystone bolt. Some collectors insist it's a M1917 Enfield and is never called a P17, so I recently was told. Mike
