Paul R Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I am interested in knowing if these are the read deal!! Someone must have some experience with this type of insignia!
peter monahan Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 It's all fake, I'm afraid.RobinCan you let us in on why (without giving aid and comfort to the fakers)? Not my area or interest but I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many books or too much information.Peter
Robin Lumsden Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 RobinCan you let us in on why (without giving aid and comfort to the fakers)? Not my area or interest but I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many books or too much information.PeterHello Peter. The quality of the embroidery is very poor in comparison to originals..............esp. the General's tabs. The bullion borders are also too wide..............typical of older fakes. The TK tab isn't as bad, but it's still not good enough.Compare it with this one...................
bob wirtz Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Did you buy the SS General's collar tabs from Snyder's Treasures? He sells these all the time and they're absolute crap. Bob
nesredep Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Hello! I agree ,these is not good. All the best Nesredep
newcollect Posted August 21, 2009 Author Posted August 21, 2009 Did you buy the SS General's collar tabs from Snyder's Treasures? He sells these all the time and they're absolute crap. Bob Unfortunately, yes. Thanks for taking the time to opine.
bob wirtz Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 This is what authentic SS Generals collar tabs look like. Study and see the differences and characteristics. This is SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Karl Demelhuber's collar tabs from my friend's collection. Bob
bob wirtz Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 This is a pair of SS-Gruppenfuhrer collar tabs. These and the SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Karl Demelhuber collar tabs are the post April 1942 (effective June 1942) style. Bob
newcollect Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 Thanks....the differences are stark. Thank you for contributing to this!
