In case you do not already know it's the "Medal for Distinguished Service in Guarding USSR State Border", from what I see there are 3 recognised version with prices going from 3 - 1700 USD. I am not a Soviet expert so we will have to wait for them.

Here is where I found my prices. I am not sure whether this is a good dealer or not however he has been around for some time.

It seems to be fake. Just compare the lack of detail on the obverse (for example the border post with Soviet state emblem) with this medal:

The given medal a forgery! An indistinct portrayal of the arms of the USSR and the person of the military man. Most likely - a moulding method. Here the original.
