Chuck In Oregon Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) We don't do much in the way of sports awards here but I thought there might be some interest in this one.It's for the 1928 soccer (OK, football) championship of the Transcaucasus Military Region. The championship was won by the Transcaucasus Ensigns School (ZPSh). That is, if "praporchik" translates as ensign rather than warrant officer or "low officer". Corrections welcomed. I lean toward ensign because of the time frame.It looks like this is an overstrike or double strike, at least on the 9 and 8.Enjoy.Chuck Edited March 18, 2009 by Chuck In Oregon
