Alex K Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Been looking carefully at this, still cannot make out the mark properly....could this be a 4DaveDon't think it's a 4 (S & L) due to the "Hump" where the suspension ring is attached to the cross. This was normally either Wachter & Lange or Juncker, although I'm not saying it's either at this stage as other also used this set-up. OK not much help I admit but I'm sure others more conversant will chip inregardsAlex
Bill Garvy Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I suspect it might be a Deschler & S?hne, "1", given the incused hump as indicated below. Is it a bit larger than other 2nd Class crosses in your collection?
Danny70 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Hello bigD,Can we see the maker mark?Some S&L crosses '4' and L/16 did feature a hump at the jump ring.Regards - Danny
bigD Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 Thanks for all your help gentlemen,my eyes are not what they used to be but i am sure it's a 4.....hope the pic is ok but the mark is not that easy to see. (i make it about 44mm)Once again thank you very muchDave
