MasterBo Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Gentlemen, would you please speak out your opinion on this beautiful RK.As my self I have no problems with it. But, one of the eastern comrades kind of doubts its originality, especially the black lacquer, saying it has been restored and the black lacquer is not original. ?Greatly appreciated in advance.

marcomadeira Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 what does K&Q stand for is it a stamp like hallmark ???? i have this pendant or chain or i dont know nothing about it apart from it has a K&Q hallmark on it
kasle Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 K&Q is company Klein and Quenzer from Oberstein. They were making civilian jewelery before ww1 and then again in 30´s when demand for ww1 awards ceased. Nothing strange to see this mark on vintage wedding rings or "schmuck" chains, mainly in USA, which were their main export partner before ww1.
marcomadeira Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 ooo ok would you or anyone know anything on the above item
marcomadeira Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 oo thanks again its been driving me mad as i cant find nothing on it ,,......trying to find year it was made and other historical facts but firing blanks
Fafnesbane Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I can´t see anything wrong with that cross. Does not look repainted to me. Perhaps your eastern friend has never seen an original K&Q produced cross? The black paint looks extremly matt, just as it should be. Is your cross for sale, by the way?
