P.F. Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) Finally getting around to posting this medal bar. Have not been well of late but am back in form now. Before i bought this bar i had a few Qs about the Silesian Eagle. This may interest Rick Research, who asked for more pics of the medal bar...well here they are!! Here is the link to the Silesian Eagle thread. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=3570...=silesian+eagleBest wishesPierce Edited June 16, 2009 by luftkreig
Claudio Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Hi Pierce,I like this bar; it's neatly put together, the ribbons nicely folded and the backing on the reverse looks good, although with some light moths' damage... this doesn't detract anything from the bar. Furthermore the Schlesicher Adler is a Paul Meybauer and the FEK (Hindenburg cross) a Godet & Sohn (G S) piece.Nice...although not traceable.Ciao,Claudio

Ulsterman Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 That is a "new" form of Meybauer Silesian eagle, at least for me. Meybauers are commonly encountered with enameled fronts and of very good quality-and black. I have never seen a gold Meybauer SA.The Meybauer stamp has been used extensively on fake air badges.

Ulsterman Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Well, I learned something new today. May I ask what is the weight and size of that SA? Where did you get it?
