Paul R Posted December 14, 2005 Author Posted December 14, 2005 Nice! Please post the rest of the tunic!
Mike H Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Paul,I would be happy to. But it will take a while. Photos will have to be re-sized to work here. It is the uniform of Generalleutnant Ludwig Keiper which, regretfully, I sold just a few weeks ago. The most spectacular Luftwaffe uniform I have ever seen -- tailored in Paris. More soon.Mike Heuer
Paul R Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 (edited) Please email them to me and I can post them!!! I am dying with anticipation!! Edited December 16, 2005 by Paul Reck
Paul R Posted December 20, 2005 Author Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) Well, The packet arrived today... after close to two months of anticipation! After looking over these non textbook tabs in person, I feel that they do indeed have a decent chance at being good. All materials in the making of these odd tabs are non synthetic. They have that certain "feel and smell" as well. I really do not know what else to do other than to post some better scans. Please do post your comments after seeing the pics. You will not hurt my feelings! I am here to learn and share ;-)Warm regardsPaul Edited December 20, 2005 by Paul Reck
Paul R Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 Hi Laurence,Those are definately bad. The seller is selling them on Ebay as reproductions. I have them posted in the the reproduction tab thread. He states he is unable to email pics of the back sides of the tabs. I would have liked to have them for comparision.RegardsPaul
Paul R Posted January 18, 2006 Author Posted January 18, 2006 Well,I have some great feedback from LTC Angolia on these tabs... here are his words: " ...As for the Luft General der Flieger collar patches, in my opinion, these are period original even though they glow. I had Ramcke's Fliegerbluse directly from the family. His collar patches and shoulder board underlay glowed... "Although no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, his words make me feel comfortable in these tabs. Thank you all for your input on this topic.REgardsPaul
Laurence Strong Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 (edited) Just bought this one, these are the dealer photo's, better ones when I recive them. I recognize the 22, wonder what company they were? Edited January 30, 2006 by Laurence Strong
Paul R Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Nice looking tab!!!! I have no idea as to what company the maker code represents. I do know that I have seen "22" on a lot of nice tabs! I think that I have a Flak officer with a "22" maker code!
Laurence Strong Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 (edited) Hi PaulDiane on WAF fiqures the 22 is for a manufacturer in Weissenburg / Bayern. Maybe Leonard Herrmann, GmbH. My Musician tabs have it also. Edited January 30, 2006 by Laurence Strong
