christerd Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hi all, what do you think about this? What should the second ribbon with swords be for? Sachsen Weimar General Honor Decoration? or a Sachsen Meiningen Honor medal with pointless swords? And Schwarzburg silver medal with swords ? He must have liked to put swords on everything..... All the best from Sweden Christer
Deruelle Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hi Christer, Nice ribbon bar for man and NCO. The second ribbon is for the General Honor Decoration from Saxe Weimar and the third is Silver Medal for Merit in War of Schwarzburg. But it can be the Honor Cross 4th class with X (swords are in in silver only). Christophe
Stogieman Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 And a very nice bar with matching pre-1920 swords at that!
Guest Rick Research Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Hard to tell ACTUAL class of the Weimar General Decoration-- bronze?/gold? since they ALL appear to be the same color. I suspect it's a Bronze and that was the silver Schwarzburg Medal with naughty Xs. Very nice combination.
