VtwinVince Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I have an award document for the Prussian XXV year LSC dated 1861 to this officer. If anyone has any information on him, it would be appreciated. He was in Brandenburgisches Dragoner-Regiment 2.
arb Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Vince, Thure von Kuylenstjerna (24.03.1829-23.03.1888) went on to command Ulan. R. 12 11.02.1873-12.03.1878 and then he became "Inspekteur der Train", retiring on 05.02.1887 as a Gen.Lt. Andy
VtwinVince Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 Thanks Andy, much appreciated. He has a rather unusual name, sounds somewhat Norwegian.

Naxos Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 (edited) This is what I found: There are two Officers by the name of Kuylenstjerna in the 1865 Rangliste. One a Hauptmann in an Artillerie-Regiment and the other a Rittmeister in the Kavallerie. Here is the Rittmeister Edited August 11, 2009 by Naxos
Naxos Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 The family is originally from Sweden, moved in the mid 1700s to Prussia (Brandenburg and Pommern) from: Deutscher Adelslexikon
VtwinVince Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Thanks Naxos, I appreciate your help. Where in BC are you located?
