Guest Rick Research
:Cat-Scratch: Ah! Two awards that Erhard Roth did not know about-- AK and BMV4X! Notice that NO aunit is given on the AK document and as usual the BMV4X has the regular officer's pre-war unit listed, not where he really was. I last turn up Deißner as a Polizei-Major with Saxon Landespolizei in Chemnitz in 1925.
Deruelle
"Deißner as a Polizei-Major with Saxon Landespolizei in Chemnitz in 1925" : thanks for the info Rick. Now I have to find the date of his death and if he survived after 1934 what has he done. Christophe

Beau Newman
Surprising to see the crown to the Albert awarded to a Captain. I have always thought that this was a Major/Lt. Col. grade award.
Guest Rick Research
Ahh, but THAT was like the BMV4X versus BMV4XmKr-- depending on whether it was a FIRST award (as you mention) or... a SECOND award of the same class. Crowns as second awards to SA3aXs were quite common for Saxon Hauptleute-- though I'm not sure how they came up with decisions about whether to give a second Albert rather than an SV3aX. The Saxons were rather odd in NOT strictly adhering to rigid steps in being decorated.
