Eric Stahlhut Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 p.s. there is a possibility this could be marked ' I W '...
avadski Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 Nice one. How much does it weight? The frame looks like an aluminum 3rd reich era piece on the other hand the core seems to be 'heavy' WW1 iron.

Kriztofer Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Beautiful, minty EK2 you have there Eric. It is LW, look at the space between the top of the L & the top of the W, to accommodate horizontal part of L. On IW marked crosses this space is very small between the two letters. I would also say that it isn't a TR era piece due to the MM. I believe most TR replacements pieces, in schinkel form, were unmarked or had a number. I've darkened the contrast of your photo a little and you can see the L better and paired it with an IW MM (Iohann Wagner) for comparison Chris
frontkampfer Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 :jumping: Hello gents !! That's right for me it's a LW mark ! Here's one of mine !
Steve campbell Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Looks like LW to me, a known mark. This is not a TR era piece. I believe the frame has been cleaned or polished, giving it the look of the TR era "new silver" frame.
