Signalcorps45 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Hello to all, I am told this is a post-war production of a Third Reich ribbon bar. The whole bar is made out of fabric with a black felt-like back. There are also three small hooks on the back, one is missing. My question is: What are the last 4 ribbons on the bar? I have been told they are Austrian. Any help will be appreciated. Dean
M Hunter Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 They look like the ribbon used for the 1939-1945 Honor Cross for Veterans....but 4 of them? Maybe the other 3 are for something else! Matt
Signalcorps45 Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 Matt, That is what I thought at first, but 4 of them didn't make any sense. Dean
webr55 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Yes, this is the ribbon bar of an Austrian veteran. The last four are commemorative awards from Austrian veteran organisations, but not sure which ones.
M Hunter Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Yes, this is the ribbon bar of an Austrian veteran. The last four are commemorative awards from Austrian veteran organisations, but not sure which ones. And all these organisations had the same ribbon representing them? Thanks Matt
Signalcorps45 Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 webr55 and Matt, Thank you for this information. This has helped me solve the mystery of the country of origin of this bar. Dean
