I thought that they at least made them an NCO!!"IMO, I think it was more common in the early Luftwaffe to have lower-ranking enlisted pilots than later in the war years. I've seen many more pre-war photos of jr enlisted pilots than war-time photos of them. By the tresse on his shoulderboard, the pilot in the photo looks to be an an NCO candidate. Due to the lack of other awards, and the higher quality of his tunic, I'd say the photo was taken pre-war.Really nice grouping by the way.Scott Edited June 11, 2006 by Scott
