Sergeant 08 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 (edited) Remember the "Scharze Brigade" cuff title! It was really an attic found and it was never in a collection before. It was on the cover of a photo album and inside the album I found some little pieces of a clay pantile. Nobody had an idea what kind of cuff title it was. But then I found the Wehrwolf photo which was taken in 1933 and the final evidence in a book. PS: Again the old Wehrwolf skull design with bones behind the skull. Robin Lumsden Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 Notice the Wehrwolf skull design with the bones behind the skull! Remember............ Wehrwolf also used the (Brunswick) skull with bones under the TK............
Robin Lumsden Posted October 16, 2010 Author Posted October 16, 2010 Bones UNDER TK............. :cheeky:
Sergeant 08 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Remember............ Wehrwolf also used the (Brunswick) skull with bones under the TK............ Yes, I know. What I call the old "classic Wehrwolf skull design" is the design on armbands and membership badges with bones behind the skull.
Sergeant 08 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) What is this badge? I think Marine-Brigade Ehrhardt? Edited October 19, 2010 by Sergeant 08

canutt Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Interesting! It seems to be the smaller version (5 cm rather than 8 cm) of the insignia used by II. Marine Brigade Ehrhardt. These badges, sometimes presented as "badge for armband" (Einwohnerwehr Wilhemshawen using this insignia existed), are probably commemorative insigna for service in the Freikorps. Is the photo dated? When this kind of wehrwolf arm band came into use? regards, Mario

In 1927 they started to wear black caps. I think the photo was taken in 1925/1926. PS: It looks like a break for smokers during a Wehrwolf event. Edited October 21, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) There were more than 15 Wehrwolf flags, I think. Edited October 20, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) My favourite photo of flags! Edited October 20, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Robin Lumsden Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 Great photo..............nice to see the date. Caps like this................
Sergeant 08 Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) Great photo..............nice to see the date. Caps like this................ Always good to get a photo with some informations. Most photos have no information about date or location and we will never know where the photos came from. Here is another one with a sign which tells us, it was the "Wehrwolf Ortsgruppe Saadow" (a small village in the south of Brandenburg). Edited October 22, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Robin Lumsden Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Nice! Another very early picture.

Sergeant 08 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Thoughts about the next badge? Looks like removed from a sport shirt? No idea what it is. Edited November 2, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Never seen that one before. I bought it today. I hope to find an answer later. PS: I thought, it looks similar like a well known skull. Again I have no evidence. Until now....
Robin Lumsden Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 The key to identification is the coat of arms...........
Sergeant 08 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 The key to identification is the coat of arms........... That is correct. And it will not be easy to identify it. Seller came from Magdeburg, but it means nothing. I thought, it could be a sport shirt badge from a local group in the 30's!?
Robin Lumsden Posted November 2, 2010 Author Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) I thought, it could be a sport shirt badge Or a swimming badge...............if these are meant to be 'waves' ?? I wonder if there are words on the three chevrons ? Edited November 2, 2010 by Robin Lumsden
Sergeant 08 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Or a swimming badge...............if these are meant to be 'waves' ?? I wonder if there are words on the three chevrons ? I think in some days I will know more. PS: The most skull swimming badges that I have seen had always a round or oval shape. Edited November 2, 2010 by Sergeant 08
Sergeant 08 Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Compare the shape! But perhaps it is only wishful thinking. Edited November 2, 2010 by Sergeant 08
