Hugh
Reverse. We have a couple of real specialists on the site (not including me). I suspect they'll come out of the weeds soon. Best, Hugh

kapten_windu
anyone can read the maker marked on the back side?
Lingqi
Congrats! Very nice collection. Breast star/order is the third class of Order of Cloud and Banner(no neck badge, breast star only). Just above the No73 is the mintmark, which gives you the timeframe when this order was made. This one looks to me was made before 1949, could be even earlier in 1930s. then you also have post-war type like made in 1950s till now, like JCWATER just mentioned. The Neck Badge is part of second class of Order of Cloud and Banner, which consists of one breast Order and neck badge(same on both sides).
