army historian Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) Hello all, along with the man's medals I got this really neat photo album. Runs from 1873 - 1939/40). There are many many more photos, but will try to keep it simple (and mostly military). Man served 1898-1899, 1901-1903, 1910-1912, and 1917-1919. Cheers Captain Albert Age 3 1876 with sisters and brother he is 6 1879 See Next Edited January 26, 2011 by army historian

army historian Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Thanks. I'm always partial to M1902 uniforms. Mark, if you like 1902 dress blues - check the WW1 uniform posting - I posted a very nice Sergeant First Class Electrician, Signal Corp uniform (complete). Cheers Captain Albert
army historian Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 Thanks, that was the main reason I bought this group (over priced). Cheers Captain Albert That's a very interesting album. Thanks for posting those.
Paul R Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Very cool stuff!! I have not seen such a thorough set of photos for such an early career. If I am reading things correctly, he was a 23 year plus Private?
army historian Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 About that but a lot of broken service. Here are some of his medals. George
peter monahan Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Lovely! I recall when I was young and foolish being less than impressed by 'all that paper' that came with some groups, but now that I look for the man behind the uniform/award, this sort of stuff is priceless. Thanks for sharing.
army historian Posted January 24, 2013 Author Posted January 24, 2013 Thanks guys, there are a lot more photos. George
