Chris Boonzaier Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Here is a postcard from the 1st Jäger Battalion...
Chip Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) Here's the other one from the 2.Jäger Bataillon. This series of cards has every pre-war Bavarian unit represented. I have yet to see one from a strictly wartime unit. I've also attached a couple more from this battalion. Edited April 26, 2013 by Chip
spolei Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Hello, my newest entry. Soldiers of the 2.JgB Aschaffenburg
spolei Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 (edited) What a fantastic photo, Joe! I love that mustache!!!!! :jumping: Would you mind if I copied that and kept it in my photo file? I'm not sure, but this officer could be Marquard Sleevogt, who was comander till 1910. This picture of the book "Unsere Jäger" shows Sleevogt. I'm not sure, because I miss the MVO Ritter second class. Edited October 3, 2013 by spolei
Chris Boonzaier Posted March 11, 2020 Author Posted March 11, 2020 I was lucky enough to get this almost untouched 1. Jäger Tschako from the mand great grandson (Who says ebay sucks!?) ... Andreas Mommensohn he served in Tirol, Verdun, Romania etc... wounded in late 1917 ... still has conwebs and bugs behind the insignia....
