Claymore Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 ...sounds like a way to be bankrupt! ..I'm more of a single-minded, dedicated to one cause, kind of puppy... ...my 'wish-list' is currently being stealthily circulated around in Deutschland.... ...and whilst I am very possesive of my collection... ...I will quite happily share it with the select GMIC elite who can appreciate what it's all about!
Wood Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Ian, not bankrupt, as military fairs with more than a few tinnies (that I havn't got) are rare to find, and I do have my limits on what I will pay. Being omniverous gives me a greater scope. HJ & SA tinnies are mostly beyond my pocket. English dealers having cottoned on to you specialists and upped the prices accordingly. As you say, abroad is the place to look. Although I must add that I find myself being out bid on Ebay for non-swastika marked tinnies & WHW items by German collectors! There will be a time when the price of these will mean, to me, a stop to this once reasonably priced collecting habit.Only 11,000 plus to go!!!!Regards,Pete
