Hello Gentlemen!

I was wondering if anyone of you has access to this book by Arnhard Graf Klenau:

Die Verleihungen des preu?ischen Roten Adler Ordens in der ersten und zweiten Klasse von 1810 bis 1854

In my research for biographical data on the officers of the kurhessian army, I have an bunch of people decorated with this order and was wondering what kind of details the book holds on them

Hi Micha,

I have some of my officers who received a prussian REO during their career. I would have to look up all of them, but one who should be in the book is Johann Philipp Bauer, a kurhessian Generalleutnant. I would like to know what kind of info the book has on this officer!

The book is pure statistics....model of REO and then the recipients,that is all.But i will have a look for this guy.

FYI-

William Hamelman wrote a book in the

late seventies "Of Red Eagles and Royal Crowns".

while it has no recipients listed, it is a nice history

of the rote adler orden and kronenorden from

their inceptions.

The only information in the book I found about him:REO 1st class with swords 1849. Another interesting page with informations about Bauer (but in german):
