Chris Boonzaier
It looks to be a signals badge, although what this one is I have no idea. Is it "FQ" underneath?

This is the highest resolution image I have. I thought it might be "TG" or "JG."
Chris Boonzaier
I am guessing "Fernsprech..." or "Funk..." Best Chris
KIR
Hi, the "V" maybe for "Versuchs-Abteilung" ????????????? Best regards, Jens
Chris Boonzaier
Or "V" as Roman "5" ?
KIR
Or "V" as Roman "5" ? ... hmm - but in this style of lettering, I don't think so!?
Thomas W
It's definitely a "V," because it matches the "V" on the shoulder strap of the Pionier-Versuchs-Kompagnie.
The Prussian
Hello folks! The V looks like the V upon the oval sleeve badge of the "Versuchs- oder Übungsflugpark". But they had a "Fl P" underneath the V. There were only two parks: west and east. I don´t think, it belonged to a pioneer unit. Oval sleeve badges were worn by Telegraph-units and air-force. Some non-official badges are known, but very rare! We might know, what the letters are. I think the 1st one is a "F" (Flieger ; Funker ; Feld etc etc). The 2nd one could be a Q or a G. A single V like this was also worn by the "Versuchs-Abteilung" of the railway-troops. Is there anything written on the reverse? Could you please show the whole photo? A very interesting badge!!!!!! Hi, Andy. I haven't yet received the card in the mail. As soon as I get it, I'll see if there's anything on the back. AOK4
I'd say Versuchs- und Übungsflugpark as well. The FlP may sometimes seem a bit weird if one sees it in reality. I don't know of any other possibility.
jaba1914
I think it is for the "Versuchs - und Übungsflugpark". There were two of them during the war Versuchs - und Übungsflugpark West Versuchs - und Übungsflugpark Ost Regards Alex
Thomas W
For comparison, here's the shoulder strap of the Pionier-Versuchs-Kompagnie.
The Prussian
I think we´re not able to say something more, unless we haven´t seen the reverse
Thomas W
I received the card. It has nothing on the back, but one man is wearing an aviation troops shoulder strap, so it must be one of the Versuchs- und Ubungsflugpark units. The Prussian
Now it´s clear. Versuchs- und Übungsflugpark. They´d rather be iron their jackets before taking a photo...

Thomas W
Here is another guy with a V Isn't it a "K"? The guy in front has a driver's goggles. If they're Kraftfahrer posing with machine guns, they could be tankers.
The Prussian
Can we see the entire photo, please?
Chris Boonzaier
Can we see the entire photo, please? Hi, top one here... http://www.kaiserscross.com/246801/392301.html
The Prussian
Ah, thank you! But the zoom doesn´t help anyway. I also think, it´s a "K" for Kraftfahrer. The photo could be taken in the last days of the war (so it seems to me)
Chip
Here is the 1916 Probestück for the (Fl.P.) Armee-Flugparks sleeve patch. The Versuchs-und Übungsflugpark patch was authorized at the same time. The shoulder strap with the "V" on it is for technical troops of the Versuchs-Abteilung des Militär-Verkehrswesens and the Pionier-Versuchs-Komp..
