Deruelle
Hi everybody, This morning I have received this nice photo of saxon officer showing a very nice ribbon bar. This one is composed by : Knnight cross of St Henry knight cross 2nd class with X of Merit Order Knight cross 2nd class with X of Albert Order Iron cross 2nd class Knight cross with X of House Order of Hohenzollern ?, seems to have swords, but not sure. Hanseatic cross of Bremen Our man received the iron cross 1st class too. On the back of the photo his name is written Dietrich Bischoff, or Diedrich Bischoff. Thanks for your help to id the antepenultimate ribbon. Christophe

Deruelle
With my first research it appears that his name is not in the Saxon Merit Order list. It is the same for the Hohenzollern knight cross. He should received it just at the end of the war, that's the only explanation. M Hunter
Hello Christophe, Great photo! Ribbon no. 6 appears to have a wide white stripe down the middle and it does appear have swords. Would the Waldeck Verdienst-Kreuz 4. Klasse mit Schwertern be an option? Best wishes Matt
M Hunter
Looking at the hand writing I see: Diedrich Bischoft.
Deruelle
Thanks Matt, I knew that this photo will interrest you as there is Hanseatic cross there It can be the Waldeck cross, indeed this name does not appear on the rolls First time when I had it in my hand I thought, this ribbon is the hanseatic cross of Hamburg, but after doing scan it appears that swords are here.
