From the picture it is difficult to see the Soulder Boards/Epaulettes.

Sometimes form th Order Class, in this case the Lowes 6-th Grade witout crown ,it could be gessed that your Great-Grandfather could have had l no Rank -just Life Guardsman (God forbid to call them Private) or very low Rank Corporal or Lance Corporal
