jkautz55 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I'm trying to figure out who's Tughra this is on a Silver Ewer that was awarded to an Ottoman Bureaucrat. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
jkautz55 Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 I should mention that I thought this was from Abdulhamid II, however I found a list of inventory from the original owner that listed its production date as 1860, which would make it Abdulmecid.
jkautz55 Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Here's another picture for reference - Thanks

demir Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Hi, Here is a website where you can find all toughras and information about them. http://www.tugra.org/en/index.asp They may not resemble the toughras on the silverware but at least give an idea. Demir
paul wood Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Demir, As ever most helpful, Thank you so much. Paul
avsaribar Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Just for an information ; The style of the Toughras on the Ottoman silverware and the official / classic style of Toughras of the Sultans are far away different !
