MJC Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hi,Does Andres Thies sell his catalog stock that is unsold at auction? I have emailed, but I never receive a response.Best,Mike
Luftmensch Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Join the club of spurned emailers...the only way I've been able to get one of his catalogs is to buy one at a show. He usually travels with extras.
medalnet Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Calling him on his cell phone usually works as well.
Stogieman Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I think having to make a cell-phone call to Germany to place an order for an item listed for public sale on a web-site borders into the "extreme". If Herr Thies cannot be bothered to sell me catalogues, past or present, then obviously he is not interested in my money. A shame as in reviewing the prices on-line there's no shortage of pieces I would have cheerfully paid more for. A loss for his consignors and for him. But such is the way of business for some people. So be it.
MJC Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 Hi Gents,Thanks for the comments and advice. I'll give it another try, then move on.Happy Collecting,M.
Deruelle Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Hi, I have never had problem with him. I have bought severals items to him. The only problem I have had is with the German post (I've received the packet 2 months after bidding ). I call him to the cell or by fax and now all is ok. ChristophePS : maybe like I am in Europe, it is more simple for him., it's just an explanation
