I have always had an affinity for TR police medal bars, so it is hard to resist buying them. I hope I am not polluting the Imperial section with this bar, but it does have a couple of Imperial decorations on it. The Baden Silver Merit Medal looks to be the early type in genuine silver and it is black with tarnish. Best regards, Tom

saschaw Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 The Baden Silver Merit Medal looks to be the early type in genuine silver and it is black with tarnish. You can check this on the rim. If there is not a mark, it's real silver, and if it's a silvered one (from bronze, zinc or steel) there is a symbol to indicate it.
