Guess somebody remembered that once this badge was retroactive: военнослужащие, находившиеся в запасе или отставке, награждались нагрудным знаком по ходатайству военкоматов командующими войсками тех округов, где они проходили службу до увольнения в запас.

I finally get a brass version of this 25th Anniversary of the GPW badge.

Pretty worn, especially on the medallion's obverse.

But the greatest part of of this is the home made screwpost (with Pobeda plate, as well)!

Typical maker's mark for the brass variations. In fact I haven't seen any other marks besides this one.
