andrewb Posted May 23, 2013 Author Posted May 23, 2013 (edited) Thanks John for your reply. I had a read through Rick's great article on ribbon bars and yes It seems to be a 90's fake. Red cloth backing with the flat catch are enough red flags for me. An in-hand inspection would confirm it but that's not necessary. Guest Rick Research Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 It's an Ohio Parts Fraud classic. Note the hand snipped brass catch. If stamped out (as an original would be) it would... fall off the end with no metal at the edge. You're right on about the painted device.
