Adler 1 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 As a first post here on GMIC, I was thinking of a simple M15 Pickelhaube... Nothing special, but it's one of my favorites... Adler 1
Guest Rick Research Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Beautiful condition! What do you recommend for keeping these old leather helmets from falling to pieces?
Adler 1 Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Start with purchasing them in good condition and then keep them away from sunlight in a temperature and humidity controled room... Adler 1 Edited June 21, 2013 by Adler 1
Chris Boonzaier Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 really, really nice... any sign of the regt stamp? Best Chris
Adler 1 Posted June 22, 2013 Author Posted June 22, 2013 Thanks gentlemen! There's a Bekleudungsamt stamp, but it has faded... No regimental stamp... Adler 1
ccj Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Welcome Adler, I look forward to seeing more of your collection. Charles
Chip Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Karel, Welcome to the forum. Your wonderful collection photos are always a pleasure. Chip P.S. And for Rick, I might add that it is always good to display or store your Pickelhauben in such a way that they are not resting on their visors. The weight of the helmet will eventually break down the stitching.
Adler 1 Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Thank you very much gentlemen! I'll post some new spikers soon... Adler 1
