Scott Powell
This came in today , Bavarian MVK3 with Crown and Swords( I'm thinking a J Lesser piece) ,EK2 with unreadable MM in eyelet, and the rarer "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (For Church and Pontiff) Cross which was awarded to both Military and Civilians. The backing dosen't have the usual Woven Backing ,rather a raw unfinished backing that I usually encounter on Pre 1900 Bars Edited August 27, 2013 by Nick

Claudius
I thought it would be nice to tie these threads together. Hello Scott, here is mine. It's nice to learn about more than one combination on a German bar. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/50240-three-medal-bar-ek2-hk-pro-ecclesia-et-pontifice/?hl=pontifice I've been hoping to narrow down the number of recipients who could have earned this combination. saschaw
I've been hoping to narrow down the number of recipients who could have earned this combination. Regarding Scott's bar shown here, I think it's worth mentioning the (real) empty bar was restored with (real) single awards, so we cannot be sure the grades/classes are the actual ones. Thus, not any chance to identify the former wearer in my opinion... sorry!
