Guest Rick Research Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 I haven't looked at the link, so I don't know if the item you are talking about is original or not, or what condition it is in.But I can assure you most solemnly that REAL Lifesaving Medals should-- and I emphasize SHOULD-- indeed be appreciated/valued for what they truly werealmost insanely rare.When mass produced by the millions things like Infantry Assault badges are into three figures purely on really crazy "market forces," an award given only for civil valor at the risk of the recipient's own life given out in the mere HUNDREDS iswhere I sure would snap up every original at 350$ there was.Of course, it is precisely because real ones ARE so semi-insanely rare (helllllo) that the market is flooded with millions of fakes. A real lifesaving medal, despite its puny size, is a TRUE treasure... and "should" be valued accordingly.(and no, I don't have a Third Reich one!)
