Medal for the Golden Wedding of King Ludwig III and Queen Marie Therese.

Thank you for the reply. But what the medal do you mean? Those two medals with the similar name, which I know, have the other ribbons

    The ribbon

    Hello Sergio:

A very interesting medal group. In my opinion, the ribbon is NOT Bavarian. It is the same as the ribbon for Hessen-Darmstadt Arts and Sciences merit medals and for Hessen-Darmstadt Fire Brigade medals. It may be impossible to ever know exactly what was there originally. Perhaps our resident Hessian expert Rudi will have some ideas?

    Best regards,

Could be the Austrian (KuK) Red Cross Medal?

I think it's the only possible medal I can think of...

    Hello Claudio,

many thanks for your reply! I've thought about this austrian medal, but there is no white stripes on the sides of my ribbon,

Also a possibility is that this medal bar was assembled recently with new ribbons (or ribbons that would not pass a UV light test) and it's a fake, maybe coming from Austria, as they are known to be very efficient with the productions of such bars... Is there a picture of the back?

I don't see any sign of a fake. The ribbon #4 is not modern, UV - negative. Sewing looks original, one thread around the perimeter.
