paul wood Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Dear all,I have been asked about this Dutch Medal which in many ways has similar obverse to the 1959 NSF proficiency medal. Is this an earlier incarnation of the NSF award. Thanks in advance.Paulhttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_11_2013/post-3085-0-06589500-1384519500.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_11_2013/post-3085-0-67722500-1384519527.jpg
TacHel Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Never seen it before, but what an attractive award!
Herman Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hi Paul, it is Dutch, but not the NSF medal or its predesessor. If you're ok with it, i can ask on the Dutch website www.onderscheidingenforum.nl Some real experts there. Regards Herman
paul wood Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 Herman,Please do ask on the forum I'd love to know exactly what it is.Many thanks,Paul
Herman Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 No reaction so far on my request. The forumite of onderscheidingenforum are all stumped. Sorry, Herman
ErikMuller Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 Looks like something is pinned to the front of the ribbon. Any change of a picture of that side?
paul wood Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 I will see if my friend still has the piece. Paul
Jef Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 I saw this in the book "Onderscheidingen" Bussum 1985, Paul's medal looks like the medal on attached page. The difference is Paul's medal doesn't show the words " voor alzijdige vaardigheid" kind regards, Jef
paul wood Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks Jef, most interesting. Paul
