Well I'm not showing what one looks like here otherwise I'll never get me paws on one, what an insane request.

I've often thought that we need a 'like' button on this forum - and this is one of the reasons why :)

Back to the main subject in hand, I think most of what I wanted to say about your collection, Ed, has already been said so I will only add: post more photos any time you like!

    Thanks Trooper for the comments.....

In regards to my photo request, sometimes, because of my honesty, I don't think someone would do anything that Eric suggested. I should know better.

    I need a MG Tornister :)

    Eric,

Hmmm. I'll have to look at mine. I don't recall if it is an MG Bekleidungsack or a Radfahrer Gepäcktasche. Oh yes, you will also need some of these.....

Ed, I like the way you've displayed the mutze... Is it only a glass with stones, or is there something else between the top of the glass and the mutze?

Yes, I took a tupperware bowl that fit the mutze and then cut it to fit the mutze just a bit less not to inflate the entire top. That gave it stiff support for the glass with decorated rocks. It still needs a glass a bit shorter, about 1-2 inches....IMO.

hmmm... I hate to ask... what are they????

    Chris,

Really? OK, they are M1901 single clip ammo pouches worn exclusively by the MGAs. They were normally worn in sets of four. They were discontinued in January of 1916 and replaced by cavalry pattern M11 pouches. All of mine are dated 1915 and were probably never issued.

My Signal Abteilung photo arrived today. I believe it has put the Coup de Grace on the Signal display. Although I wouldn't pass up an ear phone set for the pouch, if anyone knows of one. Thanks

Rick, Chris has been bugging me for photos for awhile now and my answer is the same, it's too much of a small world when photos go over the net. That's why I don't tweet, Facebook or even text...it's safer that way for me and them. I must respect their privacy, you'll just have to take my word on it, have I ever steered you wrong???? :shame::cheers:

Really? From what I see, it's only some belt buckles, a pickelhaube, and a regimental stein... I don't see why we can't have more Saxon photos. But okay.
