Chris Boonzaier
Hi, If someone is a "Luftschiffer" (as in "Luftschiffer Smith"), does this mean he is an actual balloonist, or could he simply be a member of a Luftschiffer Abteilung? i.e. is it a designation of speciality, or simply a collective term for a private in a Luftschiffer Abteilung? Thanks Chris

Marcin L
Agree. I guess it is the same for a "Flieger" - it may be a pilot/observer or a crew member. Best, Marcin
