For Research unknown saxonian officer with sabre of peculiar interest and nuce medals

Hi Gents,

another one from my collection withouth a name. Maybe we can find him with your help ?!

Every help appreciated !

All I know from him that he his a saxonian staff officer from a Schützeregiment or Jägerbatallion.

His medals:

Sachsen Ernestinischer Hausorden Comthur 2. Klasse

Bayern MVO 2b

Albrechtsorden Offizierskreuz

IC 2nd class 1870

saxonian medal which ? maybe St. Heinrichmedal

Rother Adlerorden 4th class

Kronenorden 3rd class

Sachsen Dienstauszeichnung

Kriegsdenkmünze with 5 battle bars

and the clou is the sabre with dragonsdesign I think it was

a gift from the saxonian king to him.

Oberstlieutenant Hans v. Carlowitz (1849-1904), Kommandeur 1. Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 12 around 1897. Later Kommandeur LGR 100 and Chief of Staff of the Saxon Army.

Hans Anton Adolf v. Carlowitz

geb. 2.11.1849 in Kratza, gest. 22.3.1904 in Dresden.

And yes, that is the Silberne St.-Heinrichs-Medaille.

Interesting that Hans [Anton Adolf] 1849 - 1904 had much in common with the more famous PLM and KM [Hans Karl] Adolf 1858 - 1928. They were both Kmdr of Leib GrRgt Nr 100, Chef of XII Korps annd Kmdr of 64 Ingf Brig. But Adolf was never a JgBtl Kmdr like Hans was. Adolf was also Flügeladjutant, Gen à la suite, Diensttuender Generaladjutant, Kriegsminister and military governor of the two princes Georg and Friedrich Christian.

Adolf was the nephew of Gen d Kav Oswald and son of Gerichtsamtsmann Georg Job. Hans was the son of a more humble Hptm Adolf.
