Gordon Craig Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Jock, Thanks for the photo. Nice to see an BW officer wearing his 57 awards where it is not a posed picture. Regards, Gordon
azyeoman Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Very nice. Thank you. Who are the men in the back and what was the occassion?
Jock Auld Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 Sorry, no idea about who or when or why, possibly a mess function? Jock
SteveL Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) That's a great image Jock ! The Officer is wearing a "Gesellschaftsanzug mit Fangschnur" this jacket was also called the "Zweitschenrock" (Two pocket tunic) This type of jacket was authorised for use in 1963, as there was a demand for a more ceremonial kind of uniform for official use.......it was replaced by the black dinner jacket dress in 1973. His 57ers virtually match my display ! Prost ! Steve. Edited August 29, 2014 by SteveL
TacHel Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 (edited) Sorry for being a bit off topic but... Doesn't the lady look like Magda Schneider? Edited September 4, 2014 by TacHel
